1982-1998

These two are my present Doggy pals. The German Shepherd on the left is Sebastian II, sometimes called "Seb" for short, like his predecessor. He, of course is the second Shepherd named Sebastian in the family, the first one lived a long time and was kind of passed around the family. He is very keen, smart, loyal and Loves his Daddy!! Cheyenne, on the right is pretty lazy, stubborn, and likes to have her own way. She absolutely refuses to be trained, but she keeps everyone entertained, and I call her Sebastian's dog.
By the way, I am John Wright, and this is John'z Place. I am a jack-of-all-trades Paramedic-RN and a Licensed Pilot. I also work as a professional Musician, Sound Engineer, and operate a small Recording Studio. I like Amateur Radio as well, and have always been fascinated with the airwaves. I am also an active Mason, and operate a web page for my Masonic Lodge here. I also like to study World Religions. I just like to study people, cause they do the damndest things. I like the outdoors as well, and I am an avid Hunter, Fisherman, Camper, and Conservationist.
By the way, I graduated in 1989 from Watkins Overton High School in Memphis, TN. I also went to White Station High School for a brief period. I studied Emergency Medical Technology and Nursing at Shelby State Community College (now Southwest TN CC), and Automotive Technology at Sheffield Vo Tech Center.
I am currently a Pediatric RN at LeBonheur Children's Medical Center on 7 Central (Infant/Toddler Respiratory Unit), and have also worked in TCU and 7 West (Cardiac/Surgery). I have worked for Rural/Metro, Medic Ambulance Service, Memphis Fire Dept, Shelby County Sheriff's Rescue, Shelby County Correctional Center (as an RN), and the Moscow (TN) Police Dept. Before all of that I had a brief stint as a Pizza-Hut driver (anybody remember my tore up telephone van!!), and watching over the old Gold-Mine arcade at the Mall of Memphis. I have had many big and little adventures, and hope to have many more. I also work EMS for the Bonnaroo Music Festival every year in Manchester, TN. Currently I am also slowly building hours towards an Aviation career.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by, and email me if you have comments, etc. The various links are to some of my other pages that represent my favorite things to do, etc.
I am a member of these Web Rings....
Susan and I were married on August 16, 1997 at Longstreet United Methodist Church in Memphis. Susan has been active in Dentistry as a CDA/RDA, and has been training in Nursing as well. She is a Ham operator, like myself, although we don't get on the air much anymore. She has recently begun playing Bass Guitar as well. She has two daughters, Sharon & Tracy. Sharon has two beautiful children of her own, making good-old John & Susan Grand-Parents.......Imagine that!
