Condolences to the family and friends of Lynn "Sunny Bunny" Strickland, who was tragically killed recently in an aviation accident over Pickwick Lake. Lynn was a great fellow aviator and co-worker, he will be sorely missed. I hope all you EMS folks are doing OK, I haven't had much time for Meat-Wagon Rides lately, staying pretty busy between LeBonheur, Flying, and Music.

Here I am serving the County in a twofold deal, riding Rescue out east and helping' Mark & Robert cut the grass at the Shelby County Cemetery, all for a dollar a year. This place was next door to East station, which used to be the caretaker's house for the cemetery. It was a duplex loaned to Medic Ambulance Service by the county while we provided 911 service. One side had a BLS (EMT) unit, the other an ALS (Paramedic) unit. Mark & Robert were always keeping us entertained during the week, they are still working at that cemetery, which is the public one. Yes that is where they throw you in a pine box & chunk you in the clay if ya ain't got no money. Photo by Honest Joe.
This is one of Medic's old units, smuggled to Florida. Isn't it nice to get paid to get away?? Photo of Joe Norman, EMT/P.

L to R: Honest Joe, Damon Wherry, Frank Edwards, Yours Truly. Me & Joe just got our Paramedic licenses that day. Isn't that a scary thought? This is the old "East Station" where many hours of leisure were enjoyed. That part of town will never be the same again, it has developed so much that it is probably the second hottest run zone, even though the city of Memphis has annexed a lot of the surrounding area.

Right: Keith Lindley and Lt. Bruce Proctor throw their "numbers" up in the air, like they just don't care.

R: Dan-o chuckles as Hospital Wing's rotor-wash sends my stretcher pad flying towards the lake.

R: The Union Avenue fashion show is in full swing...from my "some dude" collection.
